Established in 1986, the Gazley Volkswagen Wellington Marathon has been Wellington's favourite footrace for three decades.
Based at the famous Westpac Stadium, the fast, flat, scenic route around Wellington's spectacular waterfront creates an occasion for all age and ability. You might even win a Volkswagen Polo car or a trip to the New Caledonia Marathon.

Entry fees are as listed above. Enter before midnight June 11th to get the Early Entry Fee.
Online entries close 12noon on Wednesday 27 June. Entries after this can only be made at Race Pack Pick Up (see right hand column).
Participants under the age of 16 must have parental/guardian consent.

Withdrawals prior to Midnight, June 11th will receive a refund minus a $10.00 admin fee.
Changes to a lesser distance will receive a refund for the entry fee difference until June 11th.
Withdrawals & Changes after Midnight, June 11th are non-refundable.

Join A Pace Team
In conjunction with Runner's World Magazine and Wellington Scottish Athletic Club, half marathon participants have the opportunity to achieve a time goal by joining a Pace Team led by experienced runners.
Time goals for Pace Teams are listed below. Pace leaders have a flag with their time on it.
At Race Pack Pick Up you can also pick up a Pace Band to help you pace yourself.
On race day, Pace Teams will assemble by the Heart Foundation stand inside Westpac Stadium from 8:00am, and within their respective time zones on the start line.

Elite Support
As a service to competitive running in NZ, we operate an elite support program for the Full Marathon and Half Marathon.
Athletes who have met the following standards may apply for support, which depending on the athletes current form, will vary from travel and accommodation to free entry.
